| Friends-only banner by elmaemma15. Well. I said I was going to do it and I've finally done it. I have friends-locked my journal. *deep breath* That's a relief. What does this mean? Well... very little, actually. If you're already a friend, it won't affect you in the slightest. If you're here trying to find my fanfiction, it won't affect you, either. You can find it @ rchan_fic. (I have also unlocked all the entries on this journal which are fic entries.) If you're interested in the inanities of my life or any of the other general babble (fic-ish, fan-ish or otherwse) I engage in and you'd like to be my friend and aren't, leave a message on this post and I'll see what I can do for you. Other than that... have a Jeanie and a Crissy. You're welcome. ^_^ | |

| I have had one HECK of a Memorial Day/Weekend. How about you? ^_^ In short... I kind of really love JCS. I kind of especially love this cast of JCS. ...and at this moment, they aren't going to be getting a cast recording. That is just plain unacceptable, no matter what the reason. So, at the risk of crossing my fan life here, with my real life there... after some gentle nudging, I started a petition. We've gotten 213 signatures in JUST 14 HOURS, guys. And I want more. ^_^ Sign? Help spread the word? You know you want to... ;) We Want a JCS 2012 Broadway Revival Cast Recording! | |

| Song Fic Meme. You know the rules and how I tweak them, right? 1) Put your iPod/whatever on shuffle. 2) For each song that comes up, you have the length of the song (or however long you decide to write) to write a little something. 3) Rinse, repeat. Title: Song Fic Meme -- Take 3? Fandom: Hair, the Musical; Jesus Christ Superstar (2012); Dr. Who (2005) Pairing: Claude/Berger; Peter + Jesus; Uh… 9th Doctor/Jack Harkness if you choose to read it that way? Rating: PG-13 for some… heh… bathroom humor? I don't know. Word Count: 1,119 Warnings: Very mild slash. Abuse of Biblical characters for my own nefarious purposes. Bathroom humor and innuendo. Use of recreational drugs. You figure out which warning goes with which drabble. ;) Disclaimer: Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar and Dr. Who don't belong to me, they belong to their respective writers, producers, directors, what-have-you. Don't sue, I promise I'll put them back where they belong when I'm done. ^_~ May 21, 2012: I needed to write today, because, dude… it was a crappy fucking day. I was just… oh, let's call a spade a spade. I was a major cranky-pants. Just… nothing seemed right and I was getting stressed. Stupid levels of stressed. The kind of stupid levels of stressed that prevent me from being about to read more than a paragraph of a book or watch more than five minutes of TV without having to look for some secondary or tertiary thing to do. Writing helps if I can make myself do it. So. Here we are. Song fic meme. Perfect. Enjoy? ( Song Fic Meme -- Take 3? ) | |

| The US Equity Hair Tour played their final show tonight at 6:30 EST. 30 minutes ago, it all came to an end... but I refuse to believe that anything related to Hair can ever truly die. Too many hearts were touched, too many lives changed.
I wasn't at the final show in Cleveland tonight, and a very large part of me wishes I had been... and a just as large a part of me is afraid that I couldn't have handled it and is glad I wasn't there. If anyone was... my heart was with you.
My "final" Tour thoughts?
It's the end of an era, that's true. But I'm reminding myself that #HairGrows... and nothing truly ends so long as you hold it in your heart. I'll see you again, my friends. @HairTribeOnTour... thank you for these last three years. They've been glorious beyond measure and I am a better, stronger, happier person for having known you. You've brought me amazing friends who I will cherish for as long as I have them and a sense of purpose that I will treasure for the rest of my days. You've given me so much and I feel selfish that I still want more, but there it is. I do.
I can't wait to see what's next.
All my love.
Peace out.

| Turnabout's fair play and all that... (blatantly stole this from zoicite who stole it from someone else) Tell me about a story I haven't written, and I'll give you between one and... I don't know, a couple sentences from that story.Fandoms: Sailor Moon, Fushigi Yuugi, Yuu Yuu Hakusho, Gundam Wing, Weiss Kreuz, CLAMP Campus Detectives, Tokyo Babylon/X, Prince of Tennis, Fruits Basket, Power Rangers (MMPR-PRiS, PRDT), Harry Potter, Party of Five, Mighty Ducks Movies, Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates, Hair, Abraham Lincoln's Big Gay Dance Party, Priscilla Queen of the Desert (musical), The Book of Mormon (musical), Newsies (movie or musical), Solarbabies, Legend, Switched At Birth, Miranda (BBC) Holy CRAP, that's a lot of fandoms. O_O;;; I left out a smattering from the ADD phase of my anime writing career just because I don't remember the fandoms well enough to write in them anymore. I think I remember most of the ones I have listed well enough to write for them again, at least for a few sentences. ;) I guess we'll find out. ^_^ | |

| OK. I'm full of way too much squee to make ANY kind of sense right now, but I at least wanted to update the tally. It's official... by the end of the Philly run, I'll have seen Hair exactly 30 times, 25 of those with the tour cast. -.-;;; Wow. Movingonnow. Apparently, Paris is sick. Though this week is his scheduled vacation, he was out the last week or so of the Toronto run and has apparently kind of blown out his voice. D: This horrifies me. Get better, Paris!! Even if I never see you in Hair, again (likely... oh, who am I kidding? Definitely.), I don't care... I just want you better. :( Losing your voice on the stage would be a tremendous loss. :( And... I'm too tired and discombobulated for anything else. ( And the Hair tally continues... ) 28) 1/5/12 evening -- Philadelphia, Academy of Music, Tour Cast -- OK, regular people in new parts, first. Ryan Link as Woof; Mike Evariste as Hud; Sara King as Sheila; Aleque Reid as Jeanie; Liz Baltes as Mom/Buddha; Will Blum as Dad/MM; Shaleah Adkisson now sings Cailin's "What a Piece of Work is Man" solo, Corey Bradly is in Mike Evariste's track (but I think sings Arbender's "Don't Put it Down" part), Laura Dreyfuss is in Cailin Rose's track (OMG *_*), Jamila Sabares-Klemm is in Sara King's track, Laura D'Andre is in Jen Sese's track and Gregory L. Williams is in Arbender Robinson's track. O_O Wow. Tonight's understudies: Marshal Kennedy Carolan is on for Claude all week except Sat. matinee; William Joseph Lewise was in Marshal's track... and holy shit, he looks just like Paris before Paris cut his hair. It was fuckin' me up something awful. O_O I kept looking up and going, "Paris--? No. Not Paris. *pout*" WEIRD. Further thoughts some time tomorrow, because... dude, I'm too drained and yet full of squee to even think about a review tonight. Suffice it to say that overall, I'm happy. Very. ^_^ More on that at a later date. ^________________^ | |

| My fourth and final Yuletide 2011 story, written last minute for my dear friend zoicite. I thought I'd been so careful about weeding out any possible references or turns of phrase that might give me away… and she knew it was me by the time she was done reading the author's notes. Eh-heh. Oops. *sheepish grin* ^_^ Anyway, this fic is based off of an adorable BBC half hour sitcom called "Miranda," and the prompt was "I’d love to see how they met and ended up as friends. I’d love to see them ridiculously handling a ridiculous situation complete with some awkward UST." Heh. Fluffy, awkward, meeting shenanigans, coming right up! ;D Enjoy! Title: Spice Up Your Life Fandom: Miranda (BBC) Pairing: Miranda + Gary-ish Rating: G Word Count: 1,615 Warnings: none Disclaimer: Miranda was created by Miranda Hart and the BBC. I don't own her, I'm just shamelessly using her likeness for this story. With any luck she'd be amused rather than offended. Summary: "But when Miranda was involved, well... things never went quite so swimmingly as all that." ( Spice Up Your Life ) | |

| Another new fandom for me, different genre than usual, but I fell hardcore in love with this series when they aired the first season on Netflix. The basic premise is that Bay and Daphne were switched at birth and raised by each other's parents. They find this out roughly 16 years later and end up meeting. Massive amounts of drama and shenanigans ensue and I love every minute of its dysfunctionality. ^_^ Originally written for cala_jane for Yuletide 2011. Title: Flash Those Baby Blues Fandom: Switched At Birth Pairing: none Rating: G Word Count: 2,950 Warnings: none Disclaimer: Switched At Birth does not belong to me. It was created by Lizzy Weiss. I just like playing in her sandbox. Summary: "She was the sister of my soul, if not my body, and I still loved her, still wanted to keep her safe and happy… still wanted to help her shine." ( Flash Those Baby Blues )X-posted at rchan_fic and sab_abcfamily. Apologies to anyone who gets this more than once. | |

| My actual Yuletide story, written for devlinacardigan. She was everything I could have asked for in a Yuletide recipient and made me feel very, very good for participating this year. Thank you, again! :D Title: Darkness Beneath the Skin Fandom: Legend Pairing: Lily/Darkness, mentions of Lily/Jack Rating: NC-17 Word Count: 10,713 Warnings: Graphic depictions of sexual situations -- if that's not your cup of tea, there's no shame in it… but please don't read it. Thanks! ^_^ Disclaimer: Legend does not belong to me -- but man I wish it did. These guys are such fun to play with. ^_^ It was written by William Hjortsberg, directed by Ridley Scott and produced by Joseph P. Grace, Tim Hampton and Arnon Milchan. (Thank you, IMDB. O_o;;;) Summary: "The only pure truth about absolutes is that no thing is a true absolute. No thing is always one thing and never something else. Perfection is a mere illusion. For in being recognized as perfection, in being defined, even only in this small way... the thing one describes ceases to be perfect, for the very words used to describe it are not perfect. And it was just so with the Void." ( Darkness Beneath the Skin ) | |
